The Bee III is equipped with patented Automatic Same Direction (ASD) technology, which allows the versatility of same-direction operation without a confusing faster/slower button. In stationary mode, ASD allows you to select a lane of traffic to measure while completely ignoring the other lane. This is great when trying to focus attention on a specific lane.
